Coach Clare Brockman
Club Director and Coach
Going on year four of St. Pius X Varsity Volleyball Coach and Program Director, Coach Brockman has revitalized the Panthers Volleyball Team. In 2018, the year before Brockman became Head Coach, the team had a 6% winning percentage. In 2019, Brockman and the Panthers increased that winning percentage to 50%; in 2020 it increased to 73%.

Before her move to Houston, she received her masters in Educational Leadership and Sport Management, while working as a post-grad intern with Texas Tech Volleyball.
Formerly known as Clare Powers, she ended her collegiate athletic career with Penn State at a Final Four Appearance. In 2017, Powers led the Nittany Lions to a B10 Championship as a team captain.

Originally from Northern California, Powers attended Archbishop Mitty High School. With the Monarchs she received All-Conference, All-State and All-American honors for consecutive years leading her team to two CIF State Championships and National Championships.
Coach Amira Najar
Coach Amira will be joining GOVC as a seasoned Houston club coach and player.

Coach Carman West
Coach Carman will be joining GOVC as a seasoned club coach and player. She specializes in youth volleyball development.

Coach Rachel Seldmyer
Coach Rachel will be joining GOVC in the 2022-2023 season as a club coach, following a successful athletic career.

Coach Beth will be joining GOVC in the 2022-2023 season as a head club coach, following a successful athletic and coaching career.

Coach Jet Walls joins GOVC with a strong player background and high school volleyball coaching experience at St. Pius X High School.
